I can handle the cold, but running in a steady rain is a real hang up for me. This morning the temperature was in the fifties with a light but steady rain. I started strong but decided to cut the run short after one mile. It was a hard morning to get up and I am glad to be back inside where I am dry. It was a moral victory to get out and run, even if I did not go very far.

In the past, I have tried to wear a poncho when running in the rain. I think it was worse that getting wet. All the water would run down and soak my socks. So, I gave that idea up. Today, I just headed out in my cold weather wind suit.

My eating was better yesterday, even though I picked up some extra calories drinking soda all afternoon. I have noticed that we end up eating fast food jut about every day. It was Wendy’s last night. I had a salad with my hamburger and plain ice tea.
